Senior Manager - Global Facilities Central Engineering, Electrical & I&C
Micron is seeking a Senior Manager, Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) to lead a multi‑discipline Global Facilities Engineering team overseeing engineering system ownership and technical support across semiconductor manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Asia. The role focuses on global standardization, innovation, reliability, performance, and sustainability across the facilities network.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the multi‑discipline engineering team, providing expert understanding of semiconductor facilities, electrical, and I&C system engineering.
- Support global, regional, and site facilities and manufacturing teams through all phases of site projects and sustaining activities, ensuring alignment with global standardization, innovation, reliability, performance, and sustainability goals.
- Develop and coach a skilled engineering workforce, focusing on recruitment, training, staffing, retention, mentoring, and career pathing.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives, including performance monitoring, key performance indicators, and financial accountability for construction projects.
- Supervise multi‑discipline activities for greenfield FAB design and construction projects in the U.S. and Asia, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Provide technical advice and support for project planning, execution, cost estimation, schedule, design reviews, and compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners such as Global and Regional Facilities, Site Facilities, Construction, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, IT, Layout and Planning, and external consultants.
- Offer subject‑matter expertise and lead technical problem analysis and solutions using standard tools and methodologies.
- Advise senior and executive management on strategic decisions and provide guidance on engineering best practices, sustainability, and digitalization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 15–20 years of experience in semiconductor and/or facilities related industry with expertise in facilities, mechanical, process, electrical, and I&C systems.
- Proven ability to build and lead teams, develop people, and drive strategic objectives.
- Strong prioritization, scheduling, and multi‑tasking skills with excellent organizational communication.
- Self‑motivated with excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel 50–60% of the time or more to Micron network sites and fabrication construction locations, including critical project phases.
