Job summary

Rakuten Asia Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure for loyalty and coupon platforms in Singapore.

You will help deliver web services faster, more reliably, and with automated monitoring across environments. You will troubleshoot complex issues at both the infrastructure and application levels, drive proactive capacity planning, and implement blameless postmortems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years deploying and managing large scale internet facing web services, with high-traffic real-time requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with DevOps processes, culture, and tools (Chef and Terraform).
• Experience measuring availability, latency, and health of production systems.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Rundeck for release and operation automation.
• Strong ownership, communication, and ability to work in distributed Agile teams.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure and automation to rapidly deliver web services for coupon and loyalty platforms.
• Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues for high-traffic services.
• Create CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar for robust deployments.
• Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning to ensure reliability.
• Automate operations to reduce risk and improve productivity.
• Introduce new technologies and drive adoption within the team.
