Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a hybrid role in Singapore. You will ensure platform reliability, security, and scalability across cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, while embedding reliability into the development lifecycle.

You will implement observability, define SLOs/SLIs, lead incident responses and automate infrastructure using IaC. Strong Kubernetes, CI/CD, and scripting skills are essential, with a focus on security and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Cloud/SRE roles.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and containers.
• CI/CD and DevSecOps tools (GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Fortify).
• Scripting language: Python, Go or Bash.
• IaC experience with Terraform or Ansible.
• Observability platforms (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong networking and security operations understanding.
• GitOps practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, monitor and improve SLOs/SLIs to maintain reliability and availability.
• Design observability solutions covering logging, monitoring, metrics and tracing.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews with preventive actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools.
• Manage Kubernetes and containerised environments across cloud and on‑prem.
• Support capacity planning and performance tuning for scalability.
• Improve CI/CD and DevSecOps to reduce toil.
• Collaborate with software teams to embed reliability in development.
• Ensure security hardening and regulatory compliance.
