Job summary

Trio-Tech International Pte Ltd is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to drive technical sourcing for semiconductor materials, components, and equipment. You will build supplier relationships, optimize lead times, and contribute to cost-effective, compliant procurement across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of sourcing experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing, with strong negotiation and ERP (SAP/Oracle) skills, plus Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in SCM, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years sourcing/procurement experience, preferably in semiconductor/electronics.
• Familiarity with semiconductor components or test/assembly equipment sourcing is a plus.
• Knowledge of import/export control compliance is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities focusing on supplier selection, cost competitiveness, lead time optimization, and capacity planning.
• Identify and qualify suppliers for semiconductor materials, components, and parts.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and risk assessments (quality, capacity, compliance).
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes and maintain a competitive, resilient supplier base.
• Monitor market trends and component lead times.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production on sourcing decisions.
• Track supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
• Support cost-reduction and alternate sourcing initiatives.
• Other duties and reports as assigned by immediate superior.
