Job summary

Shopify is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support merchants across the Greater China Region and Southeast Asia. The role is remote, with travel for customer meetings, partner engagements, and team events.

You’ll work in a fast-moving APAC team, applying pragmatic architectures and AI-enabled workflows to help merchants select and implement the right Shopify solutions. You will engage across multiple stakeholders, design end-to-end solutions, and deliver tailored demos and proofs of

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin required to engage with Greater China merchants.
• Experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical consulting.
• Technical fluency across APIs, integrations, data flows, authentication, and modern SaaS architecture.
• Strong requirements discovery and translating needs into actionable technical specs.
• Commercial instincts linking tech choices to merchant outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Run deep discovery with merchants and partners to map workflows and success metrics.
• Design solution architectures across Shopify's stack including migrations from legacy systems.
• Create tailored demos and technical narratives to show merchant-specific outcomes.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Product, and Partner teams to shape opportunities.
• Leverage AI tools to speed research, demo planning, and validation, building reusable prompts.
