Job summary

BeathChapman Pte Ltd is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to set the architectural direction for software at scale in Singapore. This senior role spans cloud, private cloud and on-premises, shaping standards, platforms and an in-house engineering culture.

You'll translate executive priorities into multi-year roadmaps, establish architecture principles, and act as the senior design authority for complex systems, while mentoring engineers and maturing the organisation's engineering capability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years across solution architecture, software engineering and technology leadership.
• Track record delivering large-scale or mission-critical systems.
• Hands-on understanding of cloud-native, microservices, APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience defining architecture principles and governance at an organisational level.
• Strong grounding in Agile, DevSecOps and CI/CD across cloud, on-prem and/or private cloud.

Responsibilities

• Translate business priorities into multi-year technology roadmaps.
• Define organisation-wide architecture principles and blueprints across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Act as senior design authority for complex systems, focusing on scalability, resilience, security and maintainability.
• Establish engineering standards and governance to raise quality without delaying delivery.
• Build reusable frameworks, developer platforms and automation patterns to accelerate delivery.
• Mentor architects and engineers and grow engineering maturity.
• Lead technology R&D and PoCs to translate findings into practical patterns.
• Advise senior leadership on architecture and technology risk.
