Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer in Singapore to investigate, reproduce and troubleshoot software issues on semiconductor equipment. You will work on embedded software and control systems, coordinating with field engineers and QA to ensure timely resolution.

Based in Singapore, this role involves travel (10–25%) to customer sites for installations and training, with opportunities to impact product quality and service delivery across ASM platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS/CE with 8+ years in software support, or Master's with 4+ years.
• Ability to read code and diagnose issues.
• Software development or QA experience.
• Willing to travel 10–25% domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency in C/C++, C#, Python; GitLab/GitHub experience.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment.
• Experience in machine control, real-time software, or device drivers.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, reproduce, determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues including embedded software for control systems.
• Manage escalation calls with field support engineers.
• Create bug reports for developers to fix.
• Collaborate with QA to add replicated bugs to regression.
• Travel to customer sites for installations, training, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with account team and GPS group during investigations.
• Handle issues until ready to hand off to developers.
