Job summary

ASM International in Singapore seeks an Engineer for the Field Service team. You will be the face of ASM at customer sites, ensuring our semiconductor equipment performs optimally. This role requires hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment and a passion for technical challenges.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, electronics, or electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum 1 year of field service engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with semiconductor capital equipment assembly, testing, or service.
Familiarity with structured problem-solving methods (8D, fishbone, Kepner–Tregoe).

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
Liaise with customers to qualify equipment and ensure installation satisfaction.
Develop and execute action plans to resolve technical issues and communicate solutions.
Identify and implement improvements to hardware, software, and service processes.
Prepare detailed service reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Travel domestically and internationally as required.
