Job summary
Ambition is seeking a Software Lead in Singapore to oversee technical delivery while staying actively involved in development. You will guide engineers, make implementation decisions, and own code quality, testing and delivery across assigned applications or workstreams.
In this role you will design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs, lead Agile planning and delivery, evaluate design options with architects, and drive secure, well-tested solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
- 6+ years hands-on software development experience.
- 3+ years leading technical teams or projects.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices and secure development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain applications, backend services and APIs.
- Lead technical planning, task estimation and delivery within an Agile team.
- Collaborate with architects to evaluate design options and implement scalable solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold coding, security and documentation standards.
- Define testing strategies for unit, integration, end-to-end, performance and reliability testing.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Coordinate with product, design, QA and DevOps teams to clarify requirements and manage dependencies.
- Identify technical risks and resolve delivery blockers.
- Mentor engineers and improve development practices.
