Job summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific in Singapore seeks a Software Test Engineer III to help develop and test software for analytical instruments. You will design and execute test plans, automate procedures, and verify resolutions across embedded hardware and software, collaborating with developers and product owners to ensure high quality.
Must have strong Python, PyTest/Squish, API testing, and experience with Git and Jenkins. ISTQB advantageous.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree plus 3 years of software testing experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years in testing.
- Experience in embedded systems/hardware.
- ISTQB certification advantageous.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (PyTest, Squish).
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
- API testing experience with Postman or similar.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and defect lifecycle.
- Experience with JIRA/HPALM for test management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication in English.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans and test cases.
- Automate test procedures and verify resolutions.
- Document defects and track their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes.
