Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Test Engineer to help ensure the quality of software across projects. You will design and execute tests, automate where possible, and collaborate with development teams globally.

You will mentor peers, lead quality initiatives, and monitor metrics to drive continuous improvement while delivering reliable software solutions to international clients.

Responsibilities

As a Software Test Engineer, you will:

• Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests (functional and integration) to ensure the quality of software deliverables.
• Identify, document, and track defects and improvement opportunities while actively partnering with the development team to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through peer reviews, feedback, and quality metric analysis.
• Generate, monitor, and analyze testing and code quality metrics to improve overall software reliability.
• Serve as a technical reference for software quality, mentoring team members, sharing knowledge, and delivering technical guidance and training.
• Provide technical leadership by taking ownership of critical quality initiatives, supporting technical decision‑making, and ensuring continuity of testing activities when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Solid experience with automated functional testing and API integration testing.
• Experience with manual testing and a basic understanding of API performance and stress testing.
• Working knowledge of Node.js.
• Experience working in collaborative environments, with the ability to mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Advanced to fluent English, with the ability to communicate effectively with global stakeholders and read and produce technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as k6.
• Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives or working in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience defining or improving quality assurance processes and standards within Agile software development teams.
