Job summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific in Singapore is seeking a Staff Engineer, Software to provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across our product portfolio, from cloud platforms to embedded instrumentation. You will design and implement sophisticated solutions, mentor engineers, and drive best practices to enable groundbreaking scientific discoveries.
You will work with advanced embedded technologies, including RTOS, UART/SPI/CAN/USB interfaces, and secure firmware update mechanisms,
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher with 6+ years of embedded software experience, or Bachelor's with 8+ years.
- Expert proficiency in embedded C/C++ and RTOS-based systems.
- Experience with board support packages, device drivers and firmware update processes.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across projects.
- Design and implement embedded software for multiple products from concept to deployment.
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices in software development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape technical direction.
