Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead design and implementation of high-impact features across services. You will balance velocity with architecture discipline and maintainability.

You will champion automated testing, CI/CD, containerization, and observability while mentoring mid-level and junior engineers and collaborating with product teams to deliver citizen-centric government software at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience engineering, scaling, and delivering production-grade web applications.
• Senior contributor or technical anchor within an agile engineering team.
• Designing, architecting, and operating scalable distributed systems.
• Strong backend focus with Node.js and TypeScript; React/Next.js experience.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD, testing, and GenAI awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and implementation of high-impact features across services.
• Evaluate tradeoffs, document designs, and balance velocity with scalability and maintainability.
• Champion automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Lead operational ownership, monitoring, security, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Tech Leads; mentor engineers.
