Job summary

Beyondsoft Consulting (Singapore) Pte. Ltd is hiring a software engineer to lead design, development, and testing of DNA sequencing software. You will work within Agile scrum teams, shaping architecture, and delivering scalable .NET applications with RESTful services.

The role requires strong C#, asynchronous .NET experience, and familiarity with Angular/React front-ends. You will collaborate with distributed teams to ensure high-quality, maintainable code and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, preferably C#, with a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Deep experience designing, developing, and maintaining asynchronous .NET applications in production-quality environments.
• Experience designing and implementing REST-based services and APIs.
• Experience with front-end technologies and/or front-end frameworks, such as Angular and React.
• Experience with writing well-structured unit test codes.
• Ability to produce clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets product requirements and long-term support needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership within Agile scrum teams to design, develop, test, and deliver software that controls advanced DNA sequencing and genotyping instruments.
• Lead software architecture, design, and implementation activities to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions aligned with product and business objectives.
• Actively participate in the full Agile development lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and technical issues in a timely and structured manner.
• Drive software design and code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, testability, maintainability, and product quality expectations.
• Coordinate effectively with local and remote team members to promote clear communication, technical alignment, knowledge sharing, and timely execution across distributed development activities.
