Job summary

GovTech is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Reimagine Software Engineering team to uplift engineering standards and tooling across the organization. You will design, build, and maintain core development tools that accelerate secure, production-ready software.

You will lead initiatives around reusable libraries, templates, and guidance to improve onboarding, development speed, and code quality, while partnering with platform and product teams to codify best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong backend software engineering experience in Node.js and/or Golang.
• Familiar with the full SDLC including CI/CD, infrastructure, containers, monitoring, and operations.
• Commitment to clean, secure, maintainable software and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain GovTech tools like the Developer CLI, starter kits, and libraries.
• Improve developer workflows and developer experience (DX).
• Lead CI/CD and automation initiatives to streamline production delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape technical direction and standards.
