Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Singapore is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III within the Payments Technology team to help drive reliable, scalable systems. You will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and their infrastructure through code and cloud platforms.

You will share knowledge on end-to-end operations, availability, and resilience, while collaborating with software engineers to design deployment approaches and ensure service level objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• Formal training and/or certification in software engineering and at least 3+ years of experience
• Proficient in site reliability culture and principles and familiarity with how to implement site reliability within an application or platform
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net
• Proficient knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a given technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, AI, Android)
• Experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform
• Familiarity with container orchestration such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Familiarity with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
• Ability to proactively recognize road blocks and learn technology to drive innovation

Responsibilities

• Guides and assists others in building appropriate level designs and gaining consensus
• Collaborates with engineers to design and implement deployment approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborates to design, test, and implement availability, reliability, and scalability solutions
• Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the applications and platforms
• Collaborates with stakeholders to resolve complex problems
• Understands SLIs and uses SLOs to proactively resolve issues before customer impact
• Supports the adoption of SRE best practices within the team
