Job summary

TikTok is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join TikTok Shop. You will help build and maintain high-availability services, collaborate with product engineers, and improve observability and performance at scale.

You will participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and contribute to disaster recovery and cost-effective operations across cross-region teams. A strong background in distributed systems and programming is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, IT, Programming & System Analysis, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Go, or scripting with Shell/Python.
• Familiar with e-commerce business, common network and access layer faults, and related construction experience.
• Professional knowledge in operation and deployment of large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide SRE solutions tailored to TikTok Shop business across teams and regions.
• Build disaster recovery capabilities to ensure smooth switchovers during extreme failures.
• Enhance core SRE capabilities around stability, efficiency, cost and security; monitor key metrics like MTTR and MTTD.
• Design and implement ops tools and platform solutions to improve infrastructure capabilities.
• Take on-call duty, respond to performance issues and minimize downtime.
