As the Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving room nights and revenue growth from the assigned portfolio. You will manage key existing corporate accounts, actively hunt for new business opportunities, and forge strong partnerships with travel managers, shipping agencies and procurements.
Proactively identify, target, and acquire new corporate accounts within the shipping & assigned corporate portfolio
Nurture and expand relationships with existing key accounts to maximize share of wallet across room nights, long-stay bookings, and event spaces
Conduct regular client visits, entertainment, and hotel site inspections to build trust and brand preference
Implement strategic sales plans tailored to the unique booking patterns, last-minute demands, and budget requirements of the shipping sector
Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and maritime industry developments to capture market share
Work closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing structures, contracted corporate rates, and yield strategies
Manage RFP (Request for Proposal) processes, contract negotiations, and rate agreements
Prepare monthly sales forecasts, account reviews, and performance tracking reports
Utilize OPERA to maintain accurate account records and pipeline activities
Work seamlessly with Front Office and Reservations teams to ensure smooth handling of crew movements, long-term stays, and special VIP requests
Minimum 3 to 5 years of corporate sales experience in the hotel/hospitality industry, with a strong focus on the shipping industry and corporate portfolio
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and managing high-value corporate accounts
In-depth understanding of maritime industry travel needs, crewing logistics, and corporate travel purchasing behavior
Established network of contacts among corporate travel decision-makers, marine travel agencies, and ship management firms
Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Strategic thinker with solid business acumen and analytical skills for revenue optimization
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel management/CRM software (e.g., Opera)
