Job summary

Horiba Instruments (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Senior Sales Engineer to drive growth for Materials and Metrology solutions across Singapore and Malaysia, focusing on semiconductor metrology, inspection, failure analysis and advanced materials characterization.

You will manage direct end-user sales and distributors, develop new business opportunities, build long-term relationships with key customers and partners, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support marketing activities and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in technical sales or business development, preferably in semiconductor metrology or analytical instruments.
• Experience in managing direct end-user sales processes from discovery to closing.
• Experience in managing distributors with sales planning and forecast tracking.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable semiconductor metrology solutions.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia.
• Experience with semiconductor metrology or materials characterization tech is advantageous.
• Experience with fabs, universities or R&D customers is preferred.
• Project management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities by promoting Materials and Metrology solutions.
• Monitor market trends and customer investments to support strategic planning.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order follow-up and delivery coordination.
• Build and maintain relationships with end users, institutes, universities, and distributor partners.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to clarify customer requirements and deliver solutions.
• Support marketing activities, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
