Job summary

SANKYU (Singapore) Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to lead and support Workplace Safety & Health activities at our Jurong Island, Singapore project and other sites. You will ensure all work is conducted safely and in line with Singapore WSH law, company procedures and client HSE standards.

The role involves implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and supervising toolbox talks, audits and incident investigations.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of relevant WSH experience.
Experience in process plant, petrochemical, chemical, industrial maintenance or construction environments preferred.
Jurong Island/process-industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor company and project WSH policies, procedures, standards and safety programs.
Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH legislation, regulations and client HSE requirements.
Conduct site inspections, safety audits, safety observations and risk assessments.
Review RA, SWP, Method Statements and PTW requirements.
Monitor high-risk activities (lifting, work at height, confined space, hot work, chemical handling, machinery).
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety inductions and awareness programs.
Identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions.
Investigate incidents and near misses; identify root causes and preventive actions.
Prepare incident reports, safety alerts and lessons learned.
Monitor contractors and workers for compliance; stop work when needed.
Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and drills.
Maintain WSH records and training documentation.
