Qualifications

• Expertise as a credit risk analyst for commercial exposures ranging from SME to large institutions in Japan or with Japanese banks; reading Japanese financial statements is a must.
• Experience determining appropriate credit capacity, structuring facilities and risk mitigation techniques.
• Thorough understanding of fundamental financial analysis including reviewing corporate financial statements to assess obligor solvency.
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards, corporate valuation, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Rating and underwriting credit exposures in the assigned region, industry and business line, covering the Japan market.
• Collaborate with front office sales, risk partners, and credit administration to perform the role.
• Assess need for credit extension, profitability of the relationship and program structures.
