American Express International Inc. is seeking an Analyst in Commercial Rating and Underwriting (CRU) to assess credit exposures for the Japan market.

You will perform fundamental financial analysis, read Japanese statements, and determine credit capacity, structuring facilities, and risk mitigation strategies. The role requires 2–5 years of experience in credit rating or underwriting at a financial institution, proficiency in GAAP/IFRS, and a degree in finance or economics.

Competenze

• Expertise in credit risk analysis for commercial exposures
• Ability to read Japanese financial statements is essential
• Experience in determining credit capacity and structuring facilities
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and forecasting
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards and corporate valuation
• Familiarity with public agency ratings and macroeconomic trends in Japan
• Experience preparing credit memorandums for companies/industries
• 2–5 years’ experience at a leading financial institution (Japanese bank preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics or statistics; CFA is a plus
