Job summary

SMBC Group in Singapore seeks a Credit Risk Planning professional to support the Head of Credit Department Asia Pacific Division. You will engage in strategic planning for the credit risk framework, support the credit analysis team, and coordinate reporting to senior management and regulators.

The role requires 2–3 years in credit risk and fluency in English and Japanese, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Collaboration with multiple departments and head office is essential.

Qualifications

• At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of credit risk management experience or training is helpful.
• Experience with regulators or analytical tasks is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Business Management: Produce reports on credit portfolio and risk metrics; prepare materials for committees, regulatory examinations and audits.
• Special Credits: Track and report criticized assets and reserves; monitor credit portfolio performance and market developments.
• Compliance: Understand compliance risks and advise on risk mitigations with relevant departments; conduct compliance training.
• Operation / Liaison with Head Office: Maintain communication with Credit Officers, Front Office and Head Office; support credit process improvements and policy development.
