Job summary

Role Opportunity: Senior Regional Customer Manager (LSHC sector)

Job Purpose

The Senior Regional Customer Manager is responsible for developing enhanced solutions for the Life Sciences and Healthcare (LSHC) sector, with a focus on service quality and capability development, while ensuring the profitability and sustainability of solution designs and processes. The role also drives the acquisition and retention of LSHC business opportunities across all channels within the region.

Your Task

1. Business Development

• Support the Sector Lead in developing and implementing industry-specific and program-specific strategies to drive growth opportunities and implement solutions across countries.
• Win new strategic customers for DHL Express AP and support the Sector Lead, other regions, cross-BUs, and countries in business development initiatives.
• Support and drive negotiations with customer decision-making units and operational stakeholders.

2. Industry Solution Support

• Drive value-added capability development for the Life Sciences and Healthcare (LSHC) sector in collaboration with global, regional, and country stakeholders.
• Drive industry-specific market strategies with Global MNC teams to ensure a consistent commercial and operational approach to target opportunities and increase DHL market share.
• Leverage, adapt, and optimize customer solutions developed in other regions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure robust and sustainable solution designs, as well as successful implementation of new or enhanced processes to meet customer and opportunity requirements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for LSHC solution design and enhancement discussions, both internally and externally, across all sales channels (Direct Sales, Relationship Sales, and Enterprise LSHC).

3. Communicate, Facilitate and Enable

• Act as a conduit between DHL's commercial teams and regional/global network operations teams to identify and support Express customer requirements within the LSHC sector.
• Work closely with and support LSHC commercial leads across countries, regions, and cross-BUs to ensure planning, development, and implementation milestones are regularly communicated to senior leadership and aligned with LSHC sector growth objectives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within the Express network.
• Proven ability to work with major customers and identify/resolve customer requirements that contribute to successful business acquisition, customer retention, and revenue growth.
• Minimum 5 years of consultative selling experience engaging with senior customer stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand the broad supply chain requirements within the LSHC sector.
• Sound operational knowledge of Express network operations, services, and offerings.
• Knowledge of Medical Express (WMX) core capabilities and processes is strongly preferred; external industry-specific knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
