Job summary
Dyson Singapore invites a Senior Applied Control Systems Engineer to join the MDAC team, expanding our embedded software capability. You will work on real-time embedded software for Dyson Digital Motors and advanced control systems, contributing to design, testing, and optimization across projects.
You will collaborate with engineers and scientists, participate in reviews, and help drive robust software development and documentation practices within a dynamic global tech environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or numerate discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 3 years professional experience in a relevant industry.
- Experience in bare-metal microcontroller software development.
- Strong background in real time embedded C, with strong knowledge of MCU peripherals.
- Software configuration management (source control, continuous integration).
- Ability to plan and estimate development tasks.
- Strong communication and able to form a bridge between multiple teams.
- Be able to clearly report progress in meetings together with producing a high standard of documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain real time embedded software for Dyson Digital Motors and other control systems.
- Develop software for test systems for automated production testing and power electronics hardware tests.
- Document software requirements, design and implementation.
- Perform root cause analysis for motor or drive system failures at product and motor level.
- Facilitate stand-ups, planning and retrospectives; communicate with stakeholders.
- Manage product backlog by prioritization and clear progress reporting.
