Job summary

Dyson Singapore is seeking a Senior Applied Control Systems Engineer to join the MDAC team. You will develop and maintain real-time embedded software for Dyson Digital Motors, contribute to automated test systems, and document design and implementation details.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in bare-metal MCU software, real-time embedded C, and cross-team collaboration, with clear progress reporting and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or numerate discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in embedded/real-time systems.
• Proven bare-metal MCU software development experience.
• Strong real-time embedded C programming with MCU peripherals knowledge.
• Experience with source control and CI workflows.
• Ability to plan, estimate and track development tasks.
• Strong communication, facilitating cross-team collaboration.
• Clear progress reporting and high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time embedded software for Dyson Digital Motors and control systems.
• Create software for test systems enabling automated production testing.
• Document software requirements, design and implementation.
• Perform root cause analysis on motor/drive failures at product and motor level.
• Facilitate stand-ups, planning and retrospectives.
• Communicate with stakeholders and manage product backlog priorities.
