is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial and contractual management of steel-structure projects including fabrication, supply, erection, and related works, ensuring cost control and accurate valuations. You will prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, manage tenders and subcontractor procurement, monitor progress, variations, and final accounts, and report monthly costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Quantity Surveying or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably structural steel projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects of structural steel projects including fabrication, supply, transportation and erection.
• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and budgets from drawings and specs.
• Handle tendering, subcontractor procurement, quotation evaluation, and subcontract awards.
• Manage progress valuations, payments, cost control, cash flow and monthly reporting.
• Identify price variations, negotiations and track claims and changes.
• Monitor quantities, wastage, erection costs, labour and equipment against budgets.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts with accurate reconciliation of costs and variations.

Job Description

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of structural steel projects, including fabrication, supply, transportation, and erection.
• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and budgets based on drawings, specifications, and fabrication details.
• Handle tendering, subcontractor procurement, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiations, and subcontract awards.
• Manage progress valuations, payment applications, cost control, cash flow, and monthly commercial reporting.
• Identify price, negotiate, and track variations, claims, additional works, and contractual changes.
• Monitor steel material quantities, fabrication, wastage, erection costs, labour, equipment, and productivity against approved budgets.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts, ensuring accurate reconciliation of quantities, variations, claims, payments, and project costs.
• Any other duties assigned by superior.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in structural steel, fabrication, and erection projects.
• Strong knowledge of steelwork measurement, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, costing, and cost control.
• Knowledge of quantity take-off, cost estimation, progress claims, and contract administration.
• Able to work independently, possess strong analytical and communication skills and meet project deadlines effectively.
