Job summary

LEONG SIEW WENG ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a civil quantity/estimating professional to support tendering, cost estimation, procurement, and budget control for structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects in Singapore. The role requires hands-on experience with pre- and post-tender activities, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pre & Post-tender.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Bachelor's/Professional degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills.
• Strong computer skills including AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated, self-driven, with initiative to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare measurement sheets and quantity take-offs from drawings for tender and ongoing projects.
• Prepare RFQ packages for Suppliers and Subcontractors.
• Evaluate and formulate a bill of quantities for costs.
• Source suppliers and subcontractors for tenders and projects.
• Construct and assess comparison sheets for quotations.
• Procure materials per fabrication/shop drawings.
• Prepare and submit variation order quotations.
• Submit progressive claims to clients and follow up on payment.
• Prepare, check, and monitor project budgets.
• Evaluate and verify supplier/subcontractor claims.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of measurement sheets and detailed quantity take-off based on drawings and documents for tender and ongoing projects.
• Prepare request for quotation packages to be sent to Suppliers and Subcontractors.
• Evaluate and formulate a bill of quantities for direct and indirect costs.
• Sourcing suppliers and subcontractors for tenders and ongoing projects.
• Construct and assess comparison sheets for quotations from Suppliers and Subcontractors.
• Procurement of materials as per issued fabrication or shop drawings.
• Preparation and submission of variation order quotation.
• Submission of progressive claims to the client and follow-up for payment response.
• Preparation, checking, and monitoring project budget.
• Evaluation and verification of supplier and subcontractor claims.

Requirements

• Experience in Pre & Post-tender.
• At least 3 Years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
