LONG HUI CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage post-contract cost control and commercial administration across multiple construction projects.

The role emphasizes cost discipline, contract management, and collaboration with project teams. We require a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building with at least 5 years of site experience, preferably with a Main Contractor and HDB project exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building construction in Singapore.
• Experience with Main Contractor preferred; HDB project experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and post-contract cost control.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with project management or QS software is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-contract cost control and commercial administration for construction projects.
• Monitor project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow to ensure costs stay within approved limits.
• Administer contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Manage and evaluate contract variations from design changes or site conditions.
• Assess, prepare, and negotiate Variation Orders with subcontractors and consultants.
• Conduct interim valuations and certify progress claims for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate and verify invoices and payment claims prior to approval.
• Prepare cost reports and commercial updates for management and project teams.
• Prepare, negotiate, and finalize final accounts with subcontractors and clients.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to assess cost and time impact of changes.
• Manage and resolve contractual issues, claims and disputes related to cost, delays or scope changes.
• Participate in post-contract negotiations and settlement of claims, protecting the company’s interests.
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior quantity surveyors.

• Strong knowledge of contract administration and post-contract cost control.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with project management or QS software is an advantage.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
