Job summary

Copperco Talent Services is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for Singapore projects. The role involves quantity take-off, cost estimation, tender preparation, and liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors to manage claims and variations.

Candidates with 3+ years of construction experience, knowledge of construction sequences, and team-oriented mindset are preferred; seniority may be offered for more experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Building/Quantity Surveying/Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction sector.
• Experience with LTA/MRT projects and main contractors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Prepare tender and quotation submissions; follow up with clarifications and interviews.
• Source quotations; liaise and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and resolve progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Evaluate and certify subcontractors' progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Attend site meetings to capture variation claims and interim valuations.
• Liaise with clients and consultants on contractual issues.
• Handle other assigned duties or ad hoc tasks as required.

• Responsible for quantity take off and cost estimation
• Preparation of tender & quotation submission and follow up with tender clarifications and interview
• Source quotation, liaise and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Preparation and resolution of progress claims, variation orders and final accounts
• Evaluation and certification of subcontractors' progress claims, variation orders and final account
• Attend site meetings to capture all variation claims, preparation of interim valuations and potential variation works
• Liaise with Client and Consultants on all contractual issues
• Handle other assigned duties or ad hoc tasks as and when required

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree holder in Building/ Quantity Surveying/ Civil/ Structure Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Construction sector.
• Good knowledge of construction sequences and material trends.
• Candidate with substantial years of experience will be consider for the position of Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Independent with excellent problem-solving skills, detailed and good team player
• Experience in LTA / MRT projects and working with Main Contractors is an advantage
