Job summary

VANTAGE EQUIPMENT & SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to cost, prepare tenders and review contracts for facade projects.

You will liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers, prepare reports and budgets, and advise on improvements and risks. A relevant diploma and 3+ years' experience are required; strong negotiation and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in quantity surveying or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of QS experience, preferably in facade projects.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize, plan and strategize.
• Strong networking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost estimates and analysis for tendered projects.
• Prepare tender documents and quotations.
• Review client contracts and assess risk.
• Prepare contracts for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Submit progress claims to clients.
• Finalize claims and accounts.
• Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors and subs.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Advise management on improvements and new strategies.
• Track materials and reorder as required.
• Document design changes and update budgets.

Job Scope

• Performs cost estimates and analysis for potential projects that have been selected for tender.
• Prepare tender and quotations.
• Review and analyze Contract Agreement of a project from the client.
• Review and prepare contract agreement to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Progress claim to client.
• Finalization of claim/account.
• Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
• Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
• Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
• Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least a Diploma in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
• Must have at least 3 years experience as QS, preferably in Facade Industry
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
