Job summary

L & K Engineering (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (Singapore Branch) is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage budgets, tendering, and procurement for MEP and Civil works in a fast-paced environment.

You will liaise with clients and contractors, control costs, and ensure compliance with contract terms, with English and Chinese communication required. This on-site role is based in Woodland with 5-day weeks and potential extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Building or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical design engineering, preferably in semiconductor or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong English and Chinese communication skills.
• Meticulous, analytical with good teamwork and multi-tasking ability.
• Proficient in Excel and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are estimated and tracked.
• Assist in preparing and issuing tender documents for contractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate tender submissions and manage procurement for MEP and Civil works.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage contracts related to MEP and Civil/Structural works.
• Handle variations, claims, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Identify and manage cost risks and schedule delays.
• Regularly inspect the site to ensure work progresses as planned.
• Act as a key point of contact between clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Ensure smooth communication regarding project costs and schedules.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
