Job summary

AWIN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support tender estimation, quantity take-off, cost planning and subcontracting in a fast-paced, multi-racial environment.

You will also handle variation orders, final accounts, and monthly progress claims with clients. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with at least 3 years in tendering and QS roles, is adept at reading drawings, and has strong costing and contract knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of tendering and quantity surveying experience.
• Able to read and understand drawings well.
• Knowledge of costing and estimating construction projects.
• Knowledge of standard contracts and sub-contracts.
• Knowledge of structural steelworks is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Job description

An opening exists for a Quantity Surveyor, willing to take up the following responsibilities, in a multi-racial working environment and short turnaround time requirements.

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Responsibilities:

• Tender estimation and costing.
• Quantity take-off, estimation, cost planning, subcontracting, Variation Orders and Final Accounts with Clients.
• To review the progress of all on-going projects and preparation of monthly progress claim submissions to Clients; as well as evaluates and prepares Subcontractors' claims.
• Undertaking duties/assignments as and when appropriately assigned by the HOD/Superior.

Requirements:

• Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Tender and Quantity Surveying Works.
• Able to read and understand Drawings well.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in costing and estimating construction projects.
• Knowledge of Standard Conditions of Contracts and Sub-contracts.
• Knowledge of Structural Steelworks will be an advantage.
• High proficiency with Microsoft office software in Excel and Word.
• With good interpersonal and communication skills.
