Job summary

GRANDCREST CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate can commence immediately or with short notice.

You will prepare cost estimates, manage subcontractor sourcing and procurement, handle progress claims, variations, final accounts, and monitor project costs to stay within budget. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of QS experience in construction, preferably main contractor.
• Familiar with contract administration, progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Good knowledge of contracts and commercial practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Immediate or short notice availability is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate project cost estimates, budgets, and cost reports.
• Handle subcontractor sourcing, procurement, evaluation, and award recommendations.
• Prepare subcontract documents, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures are within the approved budget.
• Verify subcontractors' and suppliers' claims and process payment recommendations.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and records related to contracts and project costs.
• Perform other quantity surveying duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant QS experience in the construction industry, preferably in a main contractor environment.
