Job summary

the blue barrel pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position based on a project site in East Singapore. This role demands expertise in cost planning and contracts administration, ensuring efficient budget management and meticulous handling of claims.

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in QS or Engineering, along with at least 10 years of QS experience in civil or building projects, showcasing strong analytical and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Quantity Surveying and Contracts Administration.
• Exceptional attention to detail with good time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of RFQ’s.
• Source quotations for materials and services.
• Analyze and evaluate price comparisons and costing summaries.
• Cost planning, estimation, and measurement of quantities.
• Manage claims, variation orders, budget & cost control.
• Prepare settlement for final accounts.
• Manage contracts administration.
• Handle issues related to extensions, terms, and loss claims.

Job description

This is a permanent position with an A1 Main Contractor company. The role will be based on the project site which is on the East side of Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of RFQ’s
• Source for quotation for materials and service
• Analysis and evaluation of price comparison and costing summary
• Cost planning, estimation and measurement of quantities
• Responsible for claims, variation orders, budget & cost control
• Prepare settlement for final account
• Manage Contracts administration
• Handle issues including extension of time, terms and condition, loss and expenses claim etc.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in QS or Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of QS experience in the construction of Civil or Building projects
• Good knowledge of Quantity Surveying and Contracts Administration.
• Good time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage particular tasks in charge.
