Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer III within the Athena Risk Team to design, develop, and deploy trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment. You will contribute across multiple domains, producing production-ready code and architecture artifacts.

Responsibilities include applying Python and Java, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, and ensuring operational stability through the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related disciplines.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience; mastery in Python for design, coding, testing, and delivery.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in Python and Java.
• Familiarity with cross-asset/cross-business platforms.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Experience with cloud/AI/ML/mobile technologies.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Uses AI tools to accelerate design and development, and advance stability.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met by code.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data from large datasets to improve software applications and systems.
• Identifies hidden problems in data and uses insights to drive improvements in code and architecture.
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new technologies.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
