Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB and AWS.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation of outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry IT systems.
• Practical cloud native experience.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes with secure validation standards.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve value through automation and tooling.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability of software applications.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability for existing systems.
