Job summary

STMicroelectronics Singapore seeks a Senior Equipment Engineer to own wet process equipment performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness. You will lead maintenance strategies, drive optimization projects, and ensure readiness for volume production with vendors and process teams.

You will mentor technicians, analyze downtime, apply structured problem solving (FMEA, 8D, 5-Why), and continuously improve corrective and preventive maintenance to improve throughput and yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years hands-on wet process equipment experience.
• Ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and drive containment and corrective actions.
• Read and troubleshoot electrical schematics, control logic, and interlocks.
• Strong analytical approach to troubleshooting and data-driven decisions.
• Experience with FMEA, 8D, 5-Why problem solving is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical performance of wet equipment including tanks, spray, scrubber and drying systems.
• Lead equipment optimization and cost-reduction projects to improve downtime, throughput and yield.
• Manage equipment installation, qualification ramp-up and acceptance with vendors and teams.
• Develop and improve maintenance practices, preventive and corrective strategies.
• Perform root-cause analysis on chronic failures using structured tools.
• Analyze downtime Pareto trends and implement corrective actions.
• Define critical spares and obsolescence strategy for fast recovery.
• Provide coaching to junior engineers and technicians.
• Translate production and quality needs into robust maintenance actions.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to improve reliability.
