Job summary

SUNLIGHT ELECTRICAL PTE LTD is seeking a capable Project Lead to drive electrical projects from initiation to handover. You will ensure scope, schedule, cost and quality are met while coordinating with internal teams and customers to resolve technical issues and maintain safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, 3–8 years in project management, and hands-on skills with AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of project management experience in electrical/industrial projects.
• Familiar with local electrical codes, regulations and procedures.
• IT skills including MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD.

Job Summary

Lead and coordinate electrical projects from initiation to successful handover, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, and quality while collaborating with internal teams and customers to resolve technical issues and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution to achieve completion within defined scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets
• Manage project cost control, monitor budgets, and oversee document and drawing management to support timely project delivery
• Plan production and requisition materials to meet project requirements efficiently
• Collaborate with internal design teams and external customers to submit, amend, and obtain approval for project documents and drawings
• Update and maintain comprehensive project documentation including drawings, reports, SOPs, Work Instructions, Continuous Improvement records, and Lessons Learned
• Participate in project progress meetings, provide weekly status updates, and submit reports to internal management and customers as required
• Coordinate with production, logistics, quality control, service, and testing teams to ensure smooth project delivery on site, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities
• Liaise with specialists and customers to resolve technical manufacturing issues and support system testing on site
• Attend site meetings, surveys, and switch room measurements alongside service and testing teams as needed
• Manage customer interactions during factory visits, FAT, SAT, and power turn-on events to ensure satisfaction and smooth operations
• Collaborate with specialists and team members to develop solutions addressing customer feedback, comments, and variation orders arising from project scope changes
• Participate in product demonstrations, testing, and commissioning activities as required
• Foster teamwork by supporting and collaborating with team members to enhance team spirit and project outcomes
• Implement and enforce compliance with all safety measures and housekeeping standards on site
• Adhere to plant safety, food safety, sanitation standards, and governance guidelines consistently
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support project and organizational goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related industrial engineering field (from JOB SPECIFICATION: "Diploma /Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, or related industrial engineeringfield.")
• Experience managing electrical engineering projects, ideally 3-8 years in industrial engineering project management (from JOB SPECIFICATION: "3-8 years' project management experience inindustrial engineering, especially in electrical engineering. Fresh graduate also welcome, on-job-training will provide.")
• Familiarity with local electrical codes, regulations, and procedures (from JOB SPECIFICATION: "Familiar with local codes, regulations andprocedures.")
• Proficiency in IT skills including MS Office and AutoCAD (from JOB SPECIFICATION: "IT skills(MS Office). Known & used AutoCAD.")
