Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee on-site installation of electrical distribution systems, including ELV and security systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams; attend meetings to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and regulatory standards and conduct site safety inspections.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems with consultants and RE/RTOs.
• Prepare and manage project documentation for drawings, material records, inspection reports, and handovers.

Project Engineer (Electrical)

Location - International Business Park and Paya Lebar

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical systems for building construction projects across Singapore. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to safety, compliance, and engineering excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution and Site Planning

• Plan, schedule, and oversee on-site installation of electrical distribution systems, including ELV and security systems.
• Assist in preparing material BOQs, selecting equipment, and recommending installation methods.
• Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.

2. Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
• Supervise site activities including sub-contracted works and workforce deployment.
• Monitor site progress, resource allocation, and material usage to prevent wastage.

3. Regulatory & Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations (e.g. EMA, SCDF).
• Conduct site safety inspections and implement corrective actions when risks are identified.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting

• Liaise with consultants and RE/RTOs for inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Lead the testing and commissioning of systems to verify safety and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation or commissioning.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and manage project documentation including drawings, material records, inspection reports, and progress updates.
• Ensure proper documentation for authority submissions and project handover.

Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial or infrastructure projects.

Certifications:

• Valid safety certifications (e.g., BCSS, Bizsafe).
• Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) electrical systems, ELV and security systems.
• Familiarity with local codes, standards, and authority submission processes.

Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM is an advantage.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
