Job summary

SKYWORKS GLOBAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a process engineer to develop and support semiconductor manufacturing processes, from pilot to full-scale production.

You will monitor process performance, provide engineering support for daily operations, investigate excursions, and implement corrective actions. You will drive continuous improvement in yield, quality and productivity, and participate in risk assessments and change management.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related high-technology industries preferred.
• Experience in one or more semiconductor process modules is an advantage: Etch, Thin Film, Diffusion, CMP, Wet Process, Wafer Backgrind, Wafer Bonding or Metrology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain process performance to ensure compliance with quality and production requirements.
• Provide engineering support for daily manufacturing operations and process-related issues.
• Investigate process excursions and implement corrective actions to minimize impact to production.
• Review process data and identify trends affecting yield, quality, and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process capability, stability, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support defect reduction and yield improvement projects.
• Participate in process optimization activities to improve throughput and cost competitiveness.
• Perform root cause analysis for process-related yield, quality, and reliability issues.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D / DMAIC / Fishbone Analysis / 5 Why / FMEA
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and update process specifications, work instructions, and control plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental,and quality requirements.

Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.

Process Sustaining and Manufacturing Support

Job Requirement

• 1 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or related high-technology industries is preferred.
