Job summary

SJ Group is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Process Engineer to lead technical delivery across energy and infrastructure projects in Singapore. You will steer process engineering design, PFDs/P&IDs, and simulations across conventional and low‑carbon technologies, from feasibility through EPC and commissioning.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with clients and vendors, and contribute to energy transition initiatives including carbon capture and green energy projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in energy, power, LNG, or process industries.
• Experience in process engineering design for power plants, LNG, gas infrastructure, or industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with FEED, EPC, and project execution phases.
• Knowledge of process safety and engineering standards.
• Exposure to engineering software such as Aspen HYSYS/UniSim or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong communication, technical problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in power generation, LNG, utilities, and energy infrastructure systems.
• Support process safety studies such as HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors throughout project delivery.
• Support feasibility studies, technical proposals, bid evaluations, and client engagements.
• Contribute to energy transition and decarbonisation initiatives, including carbon capture and green energy projects.

This role will support projects across the full lifecycle, from feasibility and FEED through EPC and commissioning, with exposure to power generation, LNG, carbon capture, and green energy developments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in low-carbon technologies such as hydrogen, ammonia, or carbon capture.
• Regional project exposure within Asia or the Middle East.
• Consultancy or Owner’s Engineer experience will be an advantage.
