Job summary

PEOPLE PROFILERS PTE. LTD. is seeking a process engineer to prepare and review process documents and support project execution from design through handover.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams across operations, instrumentation, piping, and commissioning to ensure safe and compliant delivery of the project. You will participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and safety reviews while developing PFDs, P&IDs, process data sheets, and control philosophies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Experience with process calculations and line sizing.
  • Experience developing control philosophies.
  • Familiarity with HAZOP and risk assessment processes.
  • Experience with EMOC procedures and documentation.
  • Strong safety and quality mindset.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review process engineering documents and data for projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and support during construction, commissioning and handover phases.
  • Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, process data sheets and instrument data sheets.
  • Prepare control philosophies, line sizing calculations and vendor documents.
  • Support process design and engineering activities during project execution.
  • Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments and safety reviews.
  • Manage EMOC activities and keep documentation up to date.
  • Coordinate with operations, instrumentation, piping and commissioning teams.
  • Support site execution, PSSR and MC Walkdowns and ensure proper handover.

Responsibilities
  • To be responsible for preparation and review of process engineering documents, coordination with cross-functional teams, and support during construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Preparation and review of: Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Data Sheets, Instrument Data Sheets, Control Philosophies, Line Sizing Calculations, Vendor documents (GA Drawing, Technical Specification, Sizing Sheet etc.)
  • Support process design and engineering activities during project execution.
  • Participate in HAZOP, risk assessment, and safety review meetings.
  • Handle Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) activities and maintain process documentation updates.
  • Coordinate with operations, instrumentation, piping, mechanical, and commissioning teams.
  • Support site execution, PSSR & MC Walkdown.
  • Ensure proper system handover documentation and punch point closure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
  • Support vendors and contractors during installation and commissioning activities.
  • Participate in process calculations, technical evaluations, and engineering reviews.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of:
  • Chemical process engineering fundamentals
  • PFD and P&ID development
  • Process calculations and line sizing
  • Control philosophy development
  • HAZOP methodology
  • EMOC procedures
  • Process safety practices
  • Plant commissioning and handover systems
  • Familiarity with industrial codes and standards.
  • Basic knowledge of process simulation/software tools is preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Exposure to refinery, oil & gas, chemical, or process industry projects.
  • Experience in EPC/project site environment is an advantage.
