Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Principal R&D Hardware Design Engineer to define platform architecture for next-generation networking products. You will own architectural decisions, influence roadmaps, and drive engineering direction across global teams.

The role requires deep expertise in high-speed digital design, system-level trade-offs, and hands-on leadership to guide multi-generation hardware platforms from concept through production.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience designing and architecting complex electronic systems and hardware platforms.
• Proven ability to translate product requirements and roadmaps into scalable hardware architectures.
• Expertise in high-speed digital systems, signal integrity, power integrity, clocking and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end hardware architecture for complex, high-performance networking platforms.
• Translate product requirements and technology trends into scalable system and board-level architectures.
• Lead architectural partitioning and system-level trade-offs across silicon, memory, interfaces, power, and timing.
• Develop architecture specifications, interface definitions, and design principles to guide implementation.
• Drive feasibility studies, modeling, and technology evaluation before design commitment.
• Chair architecture and design reviews and ensure design integrity from concept to production.
