Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Senior Principal R&D Hardware Design Engineer to lead architecture and long‑range technology strategy for next‑generation networking hardware. This onsite role collaborates with global teams to define platform direction and engineering standards.

You will own end‑to‑end hardware architectures, mentor engineers, and drive risk assessment, feasibility studies, and design reviews across products and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience designing and architecting complex electronic systems and hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end‑to‑end hardware architecture for high‑performance networking platforms.
• Translate product requirements and technology trends into scalable system and board‑level architectures.
• Lead architectural partitioning and system‑level trade‑offs across components and interfaces.
• Develop architecture specifications, interface definitions, and design principles to guide implementation.
• Drive feasibility studies, risk assessment, and technology evaluation prior to design commitment.
• Chair architecture and design reviews to ensure design integrity across teams.
• Establish platform‑level design standards and reusable architectures that improve quality and execution.
• Mentor senior engineers and elevate architectural capability across the organization.
