Job summary

SJ Group is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to join the Construction & Management Unit in Singapore as Projects Director. You will lead major coastal, marine and infrastructure projects, advising clients and project teams on complex technical, contractual and delivery matters.

Ideal candidates have extensive project leadership experience, manage senior client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, tender and construction while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; PE registration strongly preferred.
• Minimum ten years of relevant experience in engineering design, construction, PM or project delivery.
• Experience leading major projects with multidisciplinary teams and complex programmes.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, management, supervision and delivery of coastal, marine and infrastructure projects.
• Perform senior project leadership roles as Project Director, Senior PM, PM or Design Manager.
• Provide strategic and technical direction through planning, tender and construction stages.
• Oversee performance in safety, quality, cost, programme and contractual requirements.
• Advise clients on technical, construction, commercial and risk matters.
• Manage senior client relationships with government agencies and stakeholders.
• Review submissions, construction methodologies and contractual documentation.
• Oversee contract administration including claims, variations and EOT submissions.
• Monitor project risks, cashflow and resources; ensure regulatory and environmental compliance.
• Lead and mentor project managers, engineers and site staff; support capability development.
• Develop and improve project delivery procedures and construction management practices.
