Job summary

SJ Group is seeking an experienced Senior Executive Engineer to join the Construction & Management Unit (CMU). The role blends office-based technical work with practical site exposure, including supervision, coordination and stakeholder engagement on coastal, marine and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will independently manage assigned work scopes, guide junior team members and develop towards future Project Manager roles while ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor assigned construction work scopes.
• Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of projects.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities and project stakeholders on technical and site matters.
• Review contractors’ technical submissions, including method statements, shop drawings, material submissions and construction proposals.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and compliance with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Participate in site inspections, testing, meetings and project coordination discussions.
• Identify and assist in resolving technical, construction and interface issues.
• Prepare and review progress reports, site records, technical correspondence and project documentation.
• Support contract administration matters, including progress claims, variations and extensions of time.
