Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research seeks a Business Development professional to drive opportunities in power electronics. You will engage prospective customers to understand their roadmaps, articulate IME and A*STAR capabilities, and build a robust project pipeline across automotive, data centers, and energy sectors.

You will monitor market trends, identify partnerships with IDMs and ecosystem players, and translate technical strengths into compelling business cases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good understanding of power semiconductor technology.
• Knowledge of SiC, GaN, power MOSFETs is a plus.
• Ability to understand market trends and develop business cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinking to align technology with market needs.

Responsibilities

• Engage prospective customers to understand roadmaps and needs.
• Position tailored solutions leveraging IME's capabilities and the A*STAR 200mm SiC Open R&D Line.
• Build pipeline of opportunities and industry-funded projects.
• Translate technology capabilities into customer value and business benefits.
• Identify partnerships with semiconductor companies, IDMs, foundries, equipment and material suppliers, and ecosystem partners.
• Develop joint development programmes, industry collaborations and customer projects.
• Evaluate business cases for new research programmes and technology platforms.
• Work with the Technology Development Team to align technology priorities with customer and market needs.
