Job summary

The Institute of Microelectronics (IME) at A*STAR in Singapore is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for Technology-Business Development in Semiconductor. You will bridge cutting-edge technology and strategic growth, identifying opportunities and shaping partnerships across foundries, IPs, and platforms.

You will engage with customers to understand roadmaps, translate technical features into business value, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align R&D with market needs.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Technical background: Strong understanding of semiconductor technology (knowledge on Semiconductor Fab Operation will be a plus).
• Business acumen: Ability to build and negotiate complex deals.
• Communication: Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking: Understand how emerging technologies create long-term competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

• Technology Scouting & Market Trend Analysis: Monitor emerging technologies and assess market demand for semiconductor solutions.
• Customer Engagement & Solution Positioning: Meet with prospective customers, propose tailored semiconductor solutions, translate tech features into business value.
• Strategic Partnership Development: Identify and build partnerships with foundries, tool vendors, design houses, ecosystem players.
• New Market & Product Opportunity Development: Evaluate business cases for new research proposals or technology platforms.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Align research & development with commercial teams across functions.
