Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research seeks a Business Development professional to drive opportunities in power electronics. You will engage prospective customers to understand their roadmaps, articulate IME and A*STAR capabilities, and build a robust project pipeline across automotive, data centers, and energy sectors.

You will monitor market trends, identify partnerships with IDMs and ecosystem players, and translate technical strengths into compelling business cases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good understanding of power semiconductor technology.
• Knowledge of SiC, GaN, power MOSFETs is a plus.
• Ability to understand market trends and develop business cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinking to align technology with market needs.

• Monitor emerging technologies and market trends in Power Electronics, SiC and GaN power devices.
• Assess market demand and technology adoption for new power semiconductor solutions.

Key Skills And Experience

Education: Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Technical Background: Good understanding of power semiconductor technology and semiconductor manufacturing. Knowledge of SiC, GaN, power MOSFETs, device fabrication or power electronics applications will be an advantage.

Business Acumen: Ability to understand market trends, identify customer opportunities, build a strong project pipeline and develop successful business cases.

Communication: Strong presentation, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand how emerging power semiconductor technologies and market trends can create long-term business and technology opportunities.
